Modernized Victorian with Industrial Influences

The owner wanted to move into an old Victorian house and modernising the space to adapt it to their way of living while keeping the spirit of the house as it was.

Their previous place was an industrial-type warehouse conversion, and they loved their time there. When thinking about redesigning the house, we wanted to bring some of the ideas of the old house with us, but adapt them to their new home. We kept most of their furniture and wanted to somehow make the space work for it. They also had some metal bookshelves in the flat that they loved. so we designed a new one to bring that spirit into the house but adapt it to the new Victorian surroundings.

Finally, we added some wood and some touches of color, to keep the warmth that the house originally had.
