All for Romeo
Functional Modernism
“All for Romeo” is located in Angel, central London, where space is at a premium. As such, the design team focused on using any spaces available. Above the existing boiler, we used the previous empty space to create an adjustable shelf system that also works as the playground for Romeo, the owner’s cat. He can jump in between shelves, which are staggered at different heights, and rest on them.
We created a special elevated pathway, on the top shelve that we like calling the “catwalk” where the owner can also add greenery and specific sourced objects.By introducing colours, we created a unique atmosphere for each room, without modifying the main layout.
It was important to the owner to have a dedicated workspace at home; we wanted to have a cosy and homely feel to the study, where she will spend a lot of her time. In the bedroom, we create a hand-painted mural to bring a soft and peaceful feel to the room. Despite being small, the bathroom is painted with an enveloping colour, and the touch of brass creates a very warm and energetic vibe.
